We can all do our part to increase awareness related to cyber security, cyber safety, and online privacy, and in turn, remediate cyber actions that can cause harm. Learning to be cyber safe and secure is essential to making our online experience more secure, fun, and rewarding.
By adopting safe and secure practices you are not only protecting yourself, but also reducing the likelihood of cyber-attacks against all members of the school community. Digital Learning WeekDigital Learning WeekSeptember 4, 2023 – September 7, 2023 The Digital Learning Week is the rebranding of the decade-long UNESCO Mobile Learning Week and will serve as the new UNESCO annual flagship event on digital learning to steer the human-centred digital transformation of education. It aims to convene in-person events to reassemble the global community of policy-makers, practitioners, educators, private sector partners, researchers and development agencies to jointly respond to the new dynamic around digital learning. The inaugural edition of Digital Learning Week will look closely at public digital learning platforms and generative AI, examining how both can be steered to reinforce and enrich humanistic education. It will feature the Award ceremony of the UNESCO King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize for the Use of ICT in Education with its latest edition focused on the use of public digital learning platforms. Core expected outcomes include:
The event will also highlight some important guidance produced by UNESCO in this area, and multiple UNESCO policy guidelines on digital learning and AI in education including AI and Education: Guidance for Policy-makers, Guidelines for ICT in Education Policies and Masterplans, Education and Blockchain, and K-12 AI curricula: a mapping of government-endorsed AI curricula. During the week, UNESCO will share progress made in implementing the Gateways to Public Digital Learning Initiative launched at the Transforming Education Summit (TES) in September 2022. |
